Our French Open 2022 Adventure

Court Suzanne-Lenglen day 2 seats

Bonjour! Dream come true.

First time ever at Roland-Garros and to say it was great is the understatement of the year. Went to 3 day matches & each day ticket consisted of 4 matches (wow, 12 altogether!).  Day 1- Wednesday, May 25, Margie's birthday: had the greatest seats in the corner behind the players. When they walked for their towels we faced them head on! How exciting

Felt like a jinx against Emma Radicanu 😔

I basically hate Djokovic but admit it was thrilling to see him live

See how close we are?  Here I am with PCH buddy Marsha-brave soul American in Paris

Treat to see Tsisipas

He has a one-handed backhand, watch here:  https://youtu.be/g1srjXhNt9A

Janick Sinner, not a fan but he once beat Nadal so someone to watch

Click here to see Sabalenca!  https://youtu.be/RCsQga0zuM0

Picnic in our room.  This foie gras cost Euro 4.80 from the butcher.  Wine store right downstairs discovered Remoortere

How lucky are we-saw Iga Swiateck #1

We sat next to two young guys who live in Normandy-it was their first time in Paris, the big city.  They had a great time & cheered & sang the Hugo Gaston, local fan song!  So did WE!  Watch here:  https://youtu.be/GwKWGpWqS8s

David Goffon, Belgian, a local favorite

Day 3 seats court Simmone-Mathieu

FOOTWORK! Go Madison Keys-we saw her win.  It was our last match and this was thrilling.  Click here to watch:  https://youtube.com/shorts/v-MQfQWr6yc?feature=share

Paris Catacombs on day off

Millions of Parisians buried here-bones moved from other graves to preserve space in Paris

On our last day, last match we visited the Moet booth-but then weren't allowed to bring into stadium 😡

Au Pied di Cochon (yes these are pigs feet)-dinner at 11pm-it was worth it!

David had the best bone marrow ever! Look how big they are-must have been a big cow.
