Read it and weep.
We landed in London at about 8am and as the steward announced we are about to land he said, "and for those of you who are interested in the Brexit vote, the people have voted to leave". GASP, HUSSSHHHH, WHHOOOO.
Shock. What a strange day to be there. We were glued to the TV as soon as we got to the hotel as we watched David Cameron's motorcade go to submit his resignation to the Queen. My UK colleagues were in a state of shock, "my salary just went down 20%". As I go back 6 weeks later, I remembered I didn't recap my London adventure to you.
My meetings were good, and on the weekend, David and I were tourists in London. We booked a FREE TOUR BY FOOT, of the Westminster area which was excellent. We got to see the changing of the guards from the street (Margaret took us to the good viewing place on the street versus being squashed up against the gate where nothing really happens + all the tourists go).
We even saw the Book of Mormon in London since its so hard to get tickets in NYC. We enjoyed the fish and chips (several times) + even took a guided tour inside the Parliament. Love the history and symbolism. Let's see what happens on my next trip.
