David's Birthday on the Skorpios III

One of the best parts of traveling is the people you meet.  On this trip 50% of the people were from Chile and only spoke Spanish.  I love those types of adventures - pantomime becomes king.  Laughter is the language of travelers and beautiful scenery needs no words.
We were seated with Jerry & Else, an older couple from Pittsburgh who bickered the whole time.  I told David that would be us in 15 years.  Else is originally from Germany and told us some stories about the war.  They are free spirit travelers who shared our common post-college children experiences.  Ewe and Isabella are from Hamburg who requested to sit at an international table.  We had so much fun dancing with them on the last night.  We nicknamed David "special David" because his dinner always seemed to come out last and the waiter called him special.

At the Captain's dinner, they had a birthday cake for David and Beatrice who share the same birthday . Here is Beatrice with the Captain, and captain's Mom, far left.

The cake was so good, I've never had a cake like that with layers of fluff and fruit, and flaky strudel, wow!

This last picture is a pix of the ship itself.  Fits 120 passengers but we only had 65, very lucky.  You can see our cabin, third deck from bottom, rear window (don't know if that's starboard or port).
