WHEN I GET OLD......................

My 86 year old Aunt Joyce (Goo Ma) visits an elderly lady once a week to give her communion.  Why or how she is qualified to give communion I have no idea, but she visits her regularly, it provides a good walk (1/2 hr), good exercise and most importantly, purpose.

Yesterday, it was very cold (didn't get above 25 degrees), and she didn't go.  The old lady called the church to complain that Aunt Joyce did not visit her.

Me, "next time you should call her to say you aren't coming, she probably looks forward to your visits."
Aunt Joyce, "she should have known I wasn't coming, I usually call her first to say I'm coming."
"Yes, but maybe she thought something happened to you."
"Well, why would I walk all the way over there in the cold?"
"Well of course you shouldn't but maybe she's lonely and looks forward to your visits."
"Yes, she's lonely, she just sits there by the TV, the TV is always on."
"Next time, just call so she knows you are not coming."
"Why should I call her, I don't understand the home aide, and the home aide doesn't understand me."

Oh, the irony of it all.
