Christmas Cards
I always order too many Christmas cards. Then I don't throw them out, have no use for them, and have a lot of clutter of different envelopes of old Christmas card pictures. This year I ordered right. Only have two left, a co-worker said I forecasted right this year.
I gravitate to the cards that say "Peace on Earth" because that's what I wish for. Often, I choose cards with a red cardinal. I always get the engraved kind because its too much work to sign each one (but then I stupidly end up writing a dumb little note anyway). I got these nice cards from the WWF last year - love the animal scene and the engraving (it was free).
I must have been dreaming during 2009 and 2010. Last week I found both envelopes of "extra cards" from those years. See the picture above (kind of hard to read the greeting above Gary's head). For two years in a row I put "2010" on the card. Was I trying to wish people a happy 2010 in 2009? Or did I just get my years mixed up? How could I have done that? Worse--how could no one have noticed?
What do you think? Also do you think I should just throw those cards away?
