Alvin & The Chipmunks

Even with my kids, we're beyond the age of surprising each other with Xmas gifts.

So when I realized my CD/casette tape player was broken and couldn't play my Alvin and The Chipmunks "Christmas with Alvin, Simon, Theodore, with David Seville" Christmas music, I immiediatly suggested someone get me that.

Due to our free Amazon Prime free shipping, it was here in 2 days and I listen to it constanctly now. I love it, know all the words by heart, but somehow never heard the interactive version of "Deck the Halls" where "fa la la la la, la la la la" is to be sung by the listening audience (children).

Reminds me of the time I was in the Chinese School Christmas play. My Aunt was an important person in the Church (Transfiguration), and I think they chose me to be in a song because of her. Unfortunagtely, my Cantonese was not that good as a child, and all I knew I was summoned to go to the basement, where they quickly threw me on stage with the other children singing. Fortunately, the song was Deck The Halls. I just "mouthed" the lyrics for everything EXCEPT, "fa la la la la, la la la la". Try it, its fun, just pretend you are singing Deck The Halls in Cantonese, fake the lyrics, and sing loudly when it comes to the "fa la la la la, la la la la" part.
