Yvoire, France

I've always wanted to go to Yvoire.  Just exciting to be able to say I went to France for the afternoon.  Hour and fifteen minute ferry ride.  Its a medieval tourist town known for its beautiful stone houses with flowers.  We caught the 11:25 ferry there and 4:05 ferry home.

Ferry stop just 5 blocks from our apartment

Inside pretty crowded so sat outside in children's' chairs/table

Yvoire is famous for crepes.  This 1 with goat cheese, another with Reblochon a strong local Savoie cheese

Delightful surprise!  Pear cider, 3% alcohol, bubbly and flavorful! Served in china tea cups

We visited the Garden of 5 Senses & got to taste and smell & learn about medicinal properties of plants.  Gave us lots of ideas for our balcony.

Tasted the stevia

We bought ham and cheese home!

French flag in the front, Swiss on back.  Until next time, sail away!
