Your Mother Sleeps with Teddy Bears

Every year I buy stuffed animals from the World Wild Life Fund.  You know, the cute animals on their way to extinction.  I usually give them away as gifts, but this year I decided to keep them as bed ornaments.  I bought a polar bear (white) + a blue footed booby (we saw them in the Galapagos).

Somehow they've become more than ornaments after I make my bed.  Taken to hugging them and cuddling with them and sleeping with them.  Reminds me of my childhood when I would have all my teddy bears lined up in a row.  Large to small.  Large ones won at the Feast, small ones from Mommy & Daddy and assorted relatives.  I'd pretend we were in school and I was their teacher.  We'd play all kinds of games.  I especially loved this one brown bear and kept him til the end.  Remember loving that one just as I love my two new pets now.
