Come Back Goldfinch

Continuing with the theme of the good luck goldfinch.......................
I was so enthralled and happy with the notion that this goldfinch came to visit me.  Would this bring me good luck?  How excited I was!!!!!  Was this an omen?  Will I win the lottery?  Will my son get the job he was going for?  Was this my mother visiting me as her favorite color was yellow?

Fortunately, I had bought 4 don tats (egg custard with fluffy pastry on bottom) at the Asian Grocery store.  The next day I quickly heat another one up for breakfast - and after eating it, ran outside and rubbed my greasy hands all over the door handle.  Please come back goldfinch.  Then I sprinkled the leftover crumbs all over the side door steps and even left the little aluminum pastry holder on the steps.  Please come back goldfinch. 
I waited by the door.  Opened the shades, didn't come back.
