Ziplining

Perhaps I'm not the type of person who should go zip lining.  I went with Gary in San Juan in an 8 zip line rain forest.  It was beautiful.  Several people warned me not to brake, or you'd get stuck.  So I purposefully didn't break on the first run and went SLAMMING right in to the guide who catches you on the platform.  Just as he caught me, his shoulder hit my glasses and they went flying down in to the jungle.  Luckily, he jumped down there and by some miracle found them.  Good thing, I wanted to see the rain forest.

On the last run, I felt like I was going to fast and out of control.  So I braked a few times and got stuck about 10 feet before the platform.  I had to haul myself hand over hand in.  When the guy got sick of me and came to pull me in I put my hand on the wire and my glove got stuck in the pulley.
Fun but also scary.  Will I do it again? Probably.
