Let's Go Grey! Part 2

As the stay at home orders wind down in NJ I think I'll be able to get a hair cut and color July 15.  Badly needed, see above. However, I just learned I may be working from home until the end of the year--so let's see how long I can hold out.

My hair grows very fast but my some miracle it didn't during this quarantine.  I tried to look back at my calendar to see if I'd gotten a haircut right before the stay-at-home orders began and I couldn't find any record of it.  Saw that I got a haircut a few days before Dad's funeral which would have been the last week in January.  I must have gotten a haircut right before the pandemic otherwise my hair would be down past my shoulders!  Or did my hair know through mental telepathy that the world was going haywire & to behave and not give me any un-necessary grief.
Contrast the about 3 inches of grey to the below---look how fast my hair grows!
Wishing you safety, good health, and whatever hair color or length you want in the coming months.

PS-have cut my nails twice but I'll spare you the pictures.  I also finished the book below, The Fortune Cookie Chronicles and I highly recommend it to anyone-but especially my Chinese-American friends.  Oh how my Dad would have loved that book as it talks about NY Chinese restaurants & take-outs in the 70s and 80s.  Takes you through why the world loves Chinese food and lots of history I didn't know (& a very home-hitting recount of the "Golden Venture" ship crashing in to the shores of Queens with 285 Chinese immigrants on board in 1993).

Just kidding.  I'll never go grey.  I love experimenting with different colors and highlights.  Its a necessary accessory.  Bolsters your mood.  Makes you feel young; its such a part of me.  But now, yes, we all must go grey.  Hair salons are not essential and I wonder how long the quarantine will last.  So.....I'm doing an experiment.

I have a little bit more than 1/4 inch grey at the beginning of the stay-at-home NJ rule, March 26
How long can I hold out?  Grey is beautiful you know.  Someone once told me people listen to you with authority when you are grey.  Should I see if its true?
Nails on the other hand are a different story.  During some webexes I saw women with beautifully (maybe not so beautiful, maybe a week old) manicured nails.  Why bother?  I've given that up.
I cut my nails short.  They grow very fast.  Let's see how long they are at the end of the quarantine.
Also have stopped wearing make up.  Many of you know I've started a new position and I insist on turning the camera on during meetings so I can meet people face-to-face.  Boy must they think I'm ugly and nothing like my profile picture.  When I meet them in person, I'll have dark brown hair with cherry highlights and red red nails.  If its summer I'll even have a pedicure.  For now, this is me.
