Taking Responsibility

Have you noticed people don't say "I'm sorry" any more? They say, "I take responsibility". What does that mean? Does it mean they are sorry? What will they do to take responsibility? How are they responsible? You are responsible, so what.

Likewise--every notice people (especially young people) say, "No problem" instead of "you're welcome"? I find myself doing it too. Why is it NO PROBLEM when somebody thanks you? Why would it BE a problem? Just say "you're welcome".

Saying "no problem" would mean that it was ,in fact, not a problem for them to help you.

"NO PROBLEM" is the one that bugs me. Does that mean if they had to go out of their way to help, they wouldn't do so? I like people to do nice things because they are pleased to do so, not because it was "NO PROBLEM". I've not heard "I TAKE RESPONSIBILITY" yet. Of course, if you do something wrong or bad you should take responsibility - but are you sorry that you did it, or would you do the same bad thing again. Where are the ethics and the morals of people today.
