Marionettes

Monday, 8.11.08

We saw Michael Phelps and the US Men's win the 4X100 today by just an arm's length. How excited and electrifying. The more heartbreaking memory was Katie Hoff winning silver instead of GOLD by leff than 0.2 of a second..............She led the whole way by at least half a body length only to be taken in the last 2 seconds......I wonder how it feels-do you feel wonderful to be in the Olympics and come home with a medal? Or do you feel like you've come for the GOLD? I'll never know that's for sure.

What I know for sure is how I lucky I am to be here and how proud I am to be Chinese. I tear up at every event, what a sucker. :)

We went to Memorial Park to see these live, gigantic Marionettes our company sponsors. A gigantic pupper of the Terra Cotta Warrior and a girl and butterfly. Watching the crowd was better than watching hte marionettes.

Best of all we had dinner with June at a vegetarian restaurant. First course came out on a statue, all courses came out on cold ice so they were "misting"----gives me tons of ideas for serving at home. Just take any vase or object on your mantle and put food on it!!!!!

See you at home, leaving today. But first we will treat ourselves to a 90 minute massage.

What, no photos? Your "word pictures" are excellent, but my imagination can't keep up with them.

Hope you have photos to post later, sometime.
