Michael Phelps wins first gold, and I saw it.

Yes, I did! So exciting. We didn't attend any events yesterday so today was extra special. Seeing Phelps win the gold and watching all those swimmers doing the backstroke makes me want to sharpen my technique.

Hung out during the day and ended up with women's gymnastics at night. So many events happen at once, its hard to keep track but all-in-all spectacular tumbling and jumping---how do they do it?

Seeing the Cube and Birdsnest at night all lite up was wonderful - rain and all.
