We all met in Lisbon on Christmas Day. Oh how happy I was! Especially happy to see the kids but also to have white sangria!
Sparkling white Sangria!!! |
Line too long at the Santa Justa Lift |
Poured (raining buckets), but the sun came out for us in the pm. Up the Hills bike tour was scary in the slippery wet cobblestone tiles but we enjoyed biking through Alfama |
Well deserved sangria at Restaurant Pinquio |
Unique clams with 2 valves |
I ordered oven roasted grouper for 1 & it was bigger than the paella for 2 |
Next day: Air bnb Sintra experience
First, down the Freemason labyrinth to hell |
Quinto da Regaleira |
This Father made his unhappy teens pose on the wet bench of a fireplace moved outside |
Beautiful detail |
Tour guide said it would take 10 minutes to walk up to the castle but the sign said 30 so we ran unnecessarily. Tour guide said “why didn’t you trust me? I’ve lived here all my life!” |
Most of these castles are now abandoned and owned by the city hall. Looks like 2 castles (red & yellow) but it’s one with additions. |
Last stop, western most place of Europe Coba Da Roca. Arrived just as it was getting dark |
One last attempted jump next to the Atlantic. Sorry family, this is the best pix without embarrassing ourselves….really |
