Last time we talked about the veins and arteries in chicken hearts. It fascinated me to not only see them, but think about how they transport blood and oxygen, the very thing we need to live through our bodies. Or in this case the chickens' bodies.
Now take a look at this beautiful lettuce and you'll see the same thing.
Every Wednesday and Saturday there is an outdoor market in town. Its so much fun to buy all the local fresh food. David thinks I'm crazy because its so expensive, but you get what you pay for. And why bother living in Switzerland if you aren't going to enjoy the local produce or more important: way-of-life. I'm obsessed with the beautiful lettuce they have here. Its so delicate and delicious/soft. They don't have this in NJ. Its very expensive but worth it. It makes me happy to eat the green green lettuce that's so butter fresh.
Since we can't speak French we buy everything by pointing and have no idea what it is. In this case a wonderful surprise, walnuts inside! |
Insisted on going back to this stand to buy French cheese but it was an Italian stand. Using the pointing method I chose one that looked like brie. |
Ended up buying this Italian cheese called Tur--just like butter! Soft type of brie. |
Now imagine all this fat and cholesterol going through my veins and arteries along with the green green lettuce.
