Restaurants in Bogota

Two memorable restaurants:  Rafael and Astrid Y Gaston.  We had wonderful Peruvian meals in Bogota.  We didn't have Colombian food in Bogota (we did in Villa de Levya).  We don't really have much Peruvian food/restaurants here in NJ so we took full advantage!

When we arrived At Rafael, with reservation, they gave us the first table by the door and we asked to sit more towards the back.  Back was taken but they said we could sit in the "outdoor" enclosed section--which to me was even nicer!  Had a small rock garden, just beautiful.  Lucky or not it started to rain and because the rock garden was partially open, they gave us an even better table, by the glass that separated the "inside and outside".

This is the rock garden in the back, semi open.  This area was so charming, like a covered sun-room (only it was pouring rain)

We moved to this table (after the lady next to use complained about getting wet) which had a direct view of the rock garden + restaurant inside.

Like mother, like son:  everywhere we go we have octopus.

Look how creamy the ceviche sauce is.

Wrote about this in the day 1 blog.  Loved it.  Loved the creamy sauces on ceviche which I'm not used to.
