Turkish carpets are famous and I secretly wanted to buy one. They take you to a carpet factory on the tour. The one I wanted was $15,000. Forget it. They have the woman come out and demonstrate how painstakingly difficult it is to do. It is a tremendous art -- almost a dying art as kids grow up and don't want to follow in their family carpet making footsteps. Prices are warranted -- just out of my price range. Even the cheapest one was $800 for a tiny tiny piece. When I get rich, I'm going back to get the one with my foot on it.
