I didn't know that Istanbul is situated in both Asia and Europe. Did you?
Our offices are in the Europe side and our Marketing Director (& many others) live on the Asia side -- across the bridge about 40 minutes away. Just like going from Queens to Manhattan.
The Bosphorus Ocean divides the Asia and Europe & apparently I went during the wrong season. During the summer there are tons of boat tours you can take up and down the Bosphorus as well as to other beach destinations. Seafood abounds and the culture is incredible. I definitely want to go back. Only had one free day, and 2.5 days of meetings.
