Sanctity
I’m so saddened by recent events that I don’t believe anything is sacred anymore. People seem to be losing basic human respect for each other and have no sanctity. The basic premise is disappearing so much that I hope they don’t abolish this word from the dictionary.

Like most people I was horrified by the bus monitor video, posted on YouTube. How disgusting, how despicable.  If those were my kids what would I do? Kick them out of the house? Hopefully, I’ve raised my kids better than that.

Now contrast that to the heckler, the reporter who heckled President Obama during a press conference. Please don’t interrupt or disrespect others, let alone the President of the United States, yet this idiot did it. Why? Did his parents not teach him manners? Or did he just care too much about his own agenda to forego basic human respect?

Here’s the topper-----isn’t the Supreme Court supposed to be the highest body of law in the US? Whatever they say should go—it’s the law. But NOOOO, as soon the announcement came that the Health Care Law was upheld, what did Republicans do? They vowed to fight and over-turn. Why couldn’t they just accept that the law has spoken?

Well it’s because there seems to be a lack of sanctity, respect for institutions, people and the law. I worry a lot about where the world is going. If I raise my kids to do the right thing will they be eaten alive by idiots whose parents don’t? No, no need to worry. Last time I looked people have raised over $600,000 for the bus monitor. For every self-centered person, there’s a good-natured twin. If you remember the good, the good will come to you.
