Thunder, Lightning, Nasty, Ugly

Went to play tennis - was wiped off the court by a 16 year old girl. Was 6-0, 6-4 when it started to thunder and pour (lucky for me). Couldn't leave her there in the pouring rain, but I knew she wouldn't get in to my car, not even to sit with me until her Mom came.

I gave her an umbrella out of my car and drove out of the parking lot. Just then a Mom and little league baseball player come darting out from behind a car. I see them in time (I'm not going that fast anyway) and stop about 1 car length in front of them. The Mom startles the kid as she screams for him to stop. I wave them to cross, but she gives me a dirty look and shakes her head "no", as if she didn't trust me to cross in front of me. So I drive on annoyed, then I get mad. What an idiot, it was her son who started to run out in front of me.
I took a deep breadth and decided to give her the benefit of the doubt. Maybe she's a harried mother like I once was. Maybe she was mad about getting soaked in the pouring rain, sitting out in the baseball field. She looked so nasty, the way she shook her head at me though I couldn't stop thinking about it. What a nasty lady. Then I decided she wasn't nasty, she was just plain ugly.
