Wildebeest Semi-Migration, Monday July 29, 2019

On our first safari day, even before breakfast, we were pleasantly surprised to see a wildebeest parade.  We literally waited for 25 minutes while they marched across, one by one, sometimes walking, sometimes running.  Very orderly.  We were all quiet, observing-so in awe of these majestic animals. How do they know who leads, who follows, where to go, etc?  Is it instinctual?  Or learned?  We expected (& were delighted) to see the elephants, giraffes & wildebeests but didn’t expect to see this!  MAGICAL!  Dawn described it as waiting for a train to cross-never ending.
