Women's underwear

I've wasted so much $ on women's underwear for ONE reason.  The sizes are not consistent.  The types are not consistent and there are so many kinds:  briefs, bikinis', boyshorts, high cut, low cut, mid cut, silky, lacy.  Put that all together with different sizes and it soooo confusing what size to buy.

Did you ever get sucked in to the "buy 2, get one free" and buy different kinds, and find out none fit? I confess I wear grandmother underwear.  Yes, good old fashioned underwear, preferably cotton.  Who has time for these thongs, or little small styles.  AND, for the record, is that really underwear? Why don't men have all these types of briefs?

I had a theory that if bought a larger size of mid-rise briefs, it would be large enough to fit around my big fat tummy.  Don't need low rise underwear for my belly to hang over.  I even bought old lady Jockey briefs and even they were too low rise.  I keep buying all these different briefs and none fit so I must now have a five week supply (yes 35) and I'm too cheap to through the old worn out ones away.  Comes in handy when I don't have time to do laundry.  I've kept some pairs so long - they were once suck it in "tummy control" briefs.  After all these years, now they are "relaxed fit".

The last straw came when I thought I'd buy a very large size of something called "Tonga".  Little did I know that meant thong.  Returned it right away, tags still on.
