Horseback Riding & ATV Adventure (or not). Villa de Levya 11.16

I love this town.  They bring the horses right to the hotel.  I was sitting in the lobby expecting them to bring the horses to the lobby, but we actually had to walk to the road side entrance to meet them (woops).  We decided to pay extra for an English speaking experienced horseman.  We told them the day before, two people have never rode horses (David and Jake).  One was scared to death (me).  The guide only spoke Spanish.  After some phone calls, maneuvering, hooray, an English speaker who could help us with the horses was found!

The sun was so strong.  All of our necks got sunburn.

We went on about a 1 and a half hour ride.  The scenery was beautiful.  I could see Jake and David were a bit nervous.  Somehow I remembered to control the horse from a previous time. They have big personalities & you have to show them who is boss at the beginning.  Jake's horse kept wanting to go first, as David's horse was "lazy" and walked too slow for the other horses.

Afterwards, we had a nice lunch overlooking the square with our guide.  He was in the music business - what a lovely guy.
Here I am in happier times.  After 3 minutes on the ATV I went crashing in to a small wooden fence and flying off.  My shoe went one way and I another.  Landed right on my right backside.  Boom. Luckily after that the guide drove me and I got to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

After we found the little spa at the hotel and had a massage, then dinner on-site.
