Improvise

When I travel I bring every drug known to mankind: Imodium, Advil, vitamins, Band-Aids, Neosporin, etc.

I had a nasty patch of eczema on my right ear lobe. So rough and scaly it throbbed with pain. Made it worse by going swimming a few times (I had to get in some exercise after all the food). By the 3rd day it was oozing pus, yuck, disgusting, I hope no one notices.

Got a short, short haircut in Manila. Color, cut, highlights, manicure, pedicure----all for $110 US (including tip). What a bargain - I love going there! Hair so short my ears were showing-which isn't good if your ear is so swollen and red you look like Dumbo. Had a small tube of Neosporin with me, unfortunately, saw that it expired in 2009 - used it anyway, helped a little.

I did what I had to do. Had a tube of expired Monistat Soothing Cream in my make up bag. Put that on my ear--its "anti-fungal" right, isn't eczema a fungus? Worked right away. But came back the next day. Couldn't keep putting yeast infection cream on my ear but did anyway.

What a coincidence that both little tubes of ointment had expired in 2009, but I was carrying them around. I think they helped but didn't 100% heal. I'm home now, using the real deal--Jake's Rx.
