The original intention of Take Your Daughter's To Work Day was to give girls a leg up in business. Since women are traditionally disadvantaged in the business world, it gave young girls an opportunity to be exposed to the working environment.
Even thouh I'm the mother of two boys I think its wrong that the day has been turned in to Take Your Children To Work Day. Although it was nice to see all the children at work this week, the original goal has been lost. Hopefully, we can do something else that's special for girls.
